At Dundalk Study Academy we feel it is very important to keep grind classes as small as possible to avoid replicating a classroom setting.

With 5 students per grind, we ensure that each student fully benefits from the extra guidance and receives the individual attention they need in that subject. Our grind sessions are professionally run by fully qualified, Garda vetted teachers with teaching council numbers.

The tutors at Dundalk Study Academy are dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic teachers with a passion for their subjects. All of our tutors teach in secondary schools and are examination correctors and oral examiners.

Our grind classes are highly exam focused; the tutors at Dundalk Study Academy put a strong emphasis on the use of exam papers in all of their sessions. We believe that students who use exam papers consistently will do much better in their exams. Not only will they get used to the layout, marking scheme and timing of the paper, they will also become accustomed to answering the specific questions asked in each subject.

Grind Sessions

  • 5 students per grind.*
  • Leaving Certificate grind sessions run for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Junior Certificate grind sessions run for 1 hour per session.
  • Students are provided with detailed notes, exam paper solutions and exam techniques by all tutors.

*Please note: There may be more than 5 students in subjects which are of high demand while we are waiting to schedule another session. This may last a full term depending on student numbers.

GRIND FEES

Grind fees are paid up-front each term. There are two payment plans available as follows:

1. Total fees paid in full in the first grind session.

2. Two equal instalments paid in the first and second grind of each term.

PLEASE NOTE: WEEKLY PAYMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE SECOND GRIND IF FULL FEE AMOUNTS ARE NOT PAID. FEES ARE NON- REFUNDABLE. THERE IS NO ALLOWANCE FOR ABSENTEEISM.
